Was there ever a spring in Seoul so unpredictable and fleeting?
After the heavy snow in March, I held onto the hope that true spring would come—that the flowers would eventually bloom. And then, suddenly, that day arrived.
The flowers, which had held back under the cold air and faint sunlight, all burst into bloom at once. Today, I’d like to share a few snapshots I managed to take during that brief, vibrant moment.
Because the beauty of that day lasted barely two days, I worry it might pass unnoticed—forgotten altogether. On one April afternoon, hail and snow suddenly fell. The full blossoms, instead of gently fluttering in the warm spring breeze, were struck by the sudden downpour of hail and snow. Petals fell not in grace, but in clusters. So here, I share images of what some may have missed.
Because Seoul's spring truly is this beautiful and brilliant—and that deserves to be remembered. ๐ธ
